Tristan Hui is a creative writer of long-form fiction. His first published novel is the award-winning "The Other Realm". For the past 2 years he has been working on his second novel, an adventure fantasy about war, youth, friendship, and love.
Tristan lives in Northern California with his family, and attends boarding school in Southern California. When he isn't writing he's doing homework while listening to old musicals, singing and playing his cello, or reading J.R.R. Tolkien.

Writing Tutor. Taught students how to craft captivating narratives, characters, and settings through various writing techniques. 826 Valencia is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting under-resourced students with their writing skills.

WINTER 2023
High school and college students learn how to edit poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. Received a Certificate of Completion and an invitation to join the Polyphony Lit editorial staff.
SUMMER 2022
Yale’s summer writing workshop for high school students aged 16-18. Writers chose from one of three genres: fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. The fiction workshops focus on writing compelling stories readers cannot put down and studying the craft of fiction. Participants also attend workshops on the craft of writing, genre workshops, open mics, faculty and visiting author readings, student readings, and learn about careers in writing.
